Under development — CamKeeper is in private beta testing. Public release coming soon.
Coming soon · In private beta

One saved view for every car you drive.

iRacing keeps a single set of view settings shared across your whole garage. Switch from a formula car to a GT and you re-tune FOV, seat height, and mirrors from scratch. CamKeeper remembers each car's view and puts it back for you.

The problem

iRacing stores your view once, not once per car.

Every car reads from the same handful of values in app.ini. There is no per-car memory built in. So the FOV that feels right in an open-wheeler is wrong the moment you load a sports car — and back again when you switch series.

CamKeeper is the per-car layer iRacing doesn't have. It watches which car you're in and keeps the right numbers ready to load.

; iRacing app.ini — [View]
drivingCamFOV=204 ; one value…
driverHeightAdj=0.018
DrivingVanishY=0.36
virtualMirrorFOV=92 …shared by every car in your garage. Change series, and you overwrite what worked for the last one.
What it does

Small, local, and out of the way.

01

Detects your car

Reads the live car from the official iRacing SDK — the same telemetry channel Crew Chief and SimHub use.

02

Saves each view

Store FOV, driver height, shift horizon, and virtual mirror FOV as a named profile tied to that car.

03

Puts it back

Select a car, apply, and your saved view loads with your next session — no re-tuning from scratch.

04

Edits offline

A full editor that works with iRacing closed. Fine-tune values or copy a setup from one car to another.

05

Backs itself up

Every save keeps timestamped backups. Export your whole library to a single file, or restore any car.

06

Stays yours

Everything lives locally on your PC. No account, nothing uploaded, no server in the loop.

How it works

Set it once. It handles the rest.

i

Tune a car the way you like it

Get FOV, seat height, horizon, and mirror right for one car in iRacing, the way you already do.

ii

Save it as that car's profile

CamKeeper reads the current values and stores them under that car. Repeat for each car you run.

iii

Pick your car before you race

Choose the car you're about to drive and apply. Your saved view is written, ready to load with the session.

iv

Race with the right view

Join the session and the correct view is already there — no scrambling with the adjust overlay on the grid.

Get on the beta list.

CamKeeper is still in private testing while the core is proven out on real rigs. Leave your email and you'll get an invitation code and a download link when the next round of beta spots opens up.

No spam. One email when your spot is ready — nothing else.

Free, and staying free. No purchase, no subscription, no account. CamKeeper runs entirely on your own PC — nothing is uploaded. If it saves you time, a coffee helps keep it going — but it's never required.
